Update 9-28-22

 

This is the first part of our development report, which was compiled by our Planning and Engineering Department.

COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENTS

Hyatt House Convention Center: located 4017 National Parks Hwy. The property owner and contractor is Crestline Building Corp.

 

New Storage Building: located at 4923 W. Church St. John Myers Construction is the contractor. The property owner is Branson Properties, LLC.

 

Republican Headquarters: located at 2101 S. Canal St. The contractor is R12 Construction.

 

Master Lube Addition: located at 1502 S. Canal St. This will add an additional bay to this location. John Myers Construction is the contractor.

 

Office Building & Warehouse: located at 2411 Ferguson Rd. The property owner is Hughes Commercial Properties, LLC. The valuation is $1,836,771.73.

 

Commercial Offices: located at 3113 National Parks Hwy. The contractor is Rock Creek Renovations, LLC. The property owner is Jenkins Furniture.

 

Commercial Storage: located at 2501 W. Texas St. The contractor is John Myers Construction.

 

Industrial Subdivision: located at 2901 Connie Rd. The owner is Mesa Properties (Valerie Murrill). There is currently one metal building in place for this development.

 

Wingstop: located at 3113 National Parks Hwy. The contractor is Sun Dial Construction. The building is built, now the contractor is beginning the inside work for the restaurant.

 

Salon: located at 4923 W. Church St. (at the intersection of Happy Valley Rd.). The owner is Valerie Branson. A metal shell building has been permitted for this location.

 

Advanced Heart & Vascular ASC: located within the Skyline Subdivision at 1901 Skyline Rd. This facility will be a new cardiovascular office and outpatient clinic. The owner is Clay Wilson. The architect is GUIDE Architecture, LLC. The contractor is R12 Construction. This clinic is occupying a temporary office at 2405 W. Pierce St. until the new facility is complete.

 

Shopping Center: located along National Parks Hwy. north of Chapman Rd. The plan is to locate up to 12 retail businesses within the shopping center, including a Marshall’s and a Hobby Lobby, and locate up to 8 restaurants along National Parks Hwy. The developers are Pegasus (Anthony Johnson) out of Albuquerque. The architect is Scharles Wilder.

 

U-Haul: located south of the Financial Security Credit Union at the South Y, between Financial Security Credit Union and Pizza Inn. The permit for construction has been issued. Greer Construction is the contractor. The valuation for the project is $5,000,000.

 

HTeaO: located at 1103 S. Canal St. This will be a tea based drink business. The owners based in Texas. The architect is Matkin Hoover out or Boerne, TX. Allstate Mechanical is the contractor for this job. Work is underway and they are currently at frame stage with the concrete foundation with framework commencing.. Drywall work and exterior stucco has begun.

 

Planet Fitness: located in front of Lowe’s. The owner is AVE Carlsbad, LLC. The contractor is Aventine Development Group out of Allen, TX. The building will be approximately 14,396 SF. The building permit is ready to issue.

Lakeview Christian Home: located at 1905 W. Pierce St. This project is additional assisted living facilities to be named the Puckett Place Addition after Dr. Owen Puckett. National Construction, Inc. is the general contractor. Project valuation is $3,879,388.00.

La Cumbre Partners Subdivision: located at 101 E. Fiesta Dr. This is a 5 lot industrial subdivision. This subdivision will expand the availability of industrial lots along the Canal St. corridor.

 

Jimmy Fuson property: located west of Standpipe Rd. and south of Hidalgo Rd., this property was recently annexed by the City and industrial zoning was applied. Mr. Fuson intends to build an industrial subdivision here that will access the West Carlsbad Bypass.

 

Dollar General: located at 5401 Old Cavern Hwy. Made Well Construction is the contractor. Valuation is $850,000.00.  Permits have been issued and work is underway. Working on final inspections.

 

Metal Shop Building for HB Waters: located at 5216 Corrales Dr. Owner and contractor is HB Waters. Permits have been issued and work is underway.

 

Baymont Inn Hotel: located at the 3705 National Parks Hwy. The owner is Prakash Patel. The contractor is McGill Construction. This project will create approximately 60 units.

Best Western: Located at 2601 Patrick St. The owner is Bipin Bhakta. Gallardo Construction is the contractor once again. This hotel will have 78 units. Work is underway.
