Where Can I Get a COVID-19 Test?
- Carlsbad Municipal Schools is now offering free drive-thru testing for staff and students at 406 N. Alameda (the former Edison School) from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Results are rapid. You can register at carlsbadschools.net
- A local business, Commercial Business Services Inc., is also offering free COVID testing for everyone. Results take one day to arrive. Individuals receiving tests can pick between a saliva test or a nose swab. Testing is offered by appointment at 304 North Canyon Street, Suite B, Carlsbad, NM. You can make an appointment by emailing office@cbservicesinc.biz or calling (575) 234-1174.
- Free Covid-19 Testing is also being offered at NMSU-Carlsbad. This is a self-administered shallow nasal test offered in Room 150. Testing is available Tuesday: 10 AM-12 PM Noon and Thursday: 12 PM Noon – 2 PM. Please register at https://curative.com/sites/33384/walkup.
- Free COVID-19 Tests are also being offered through Curative at the Walter Gerrells Performing Arts Center (front parking lot) on Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- New Mexicans may obtain free COVID-19 tests through a service called Vault. Visit https://learn.vaulthealth.com/nm/ for more information.
- COVID-19 tests are also being offered by health care providers and at many pharmacies. Please contact these locations directly, as availability sometimes changes.
- Carlsbad Medical Center is offering COVID-19 tests for individuals being treated or receiving procedures, or with a provider’s order. The NM DOH is no longer offering COVID-19 tests at its health office.
