 0:01:21	04:02:37 PM	Chavez	Mayor Janway asked Mr. Lowe to discuss B.3 Consider Approval to Award Bid 2020-22 to Constructor’s Inc. for Reconstruction of the intersection at Boyd Drive and Hidalgo Mr. Lowe explained Constructor's was the low bidder of two bids received for the amount of $426,549.00 plus tax.  He stated Smith Engineering recommended Constructor's be awarded the bid.  He said the improvements include a left turn lane, sidewalks, widening of the intersection and improving the drainage. Councilor Chavez asked about the amount shown on the Agenda Briefing Memorandum, Mr. Lowe explained that $1.4 billion is what is in the account number listed, not the cost of the job.  The actual cost to the City is $426, 549.00.

Mr. Lowe explained there was not a vote, they were scored and this is a multi-award meaning any of the companies listed can be used on an on-call basis. Councilor Rodriguez said he feels having a list of on-call companies is important as timing and availability are critical to some projects.  He added it is beneficial to have a list of companies to jump between.
