He said the final monitoring system burrowing should be complete by the end of this month. He said with the result of the drilling and installation of the monitoring equipment, alot of additonal information has been learned about the caven. He said the draft final design should include a more effective design and cost efficient. Mr. Griswold added the grouting and back filling process should begin in late spring or early summer of 2019. He added the next authority meeting is tenatively scheduled in mid April, here in Carlsbad. Councilor Walterscheid asked how deep the drilling was before hitting the actual cavern. Mr. Griswold said about 450 feet. Councilor Rodriguez asked about the settlement with the feed store. Mr. Griswold said because it is a legal matter he is limited in terms of what he can say, but added they are close to a negotiated settlement. | 1. Councilor Chavez asked if Advanced Air receives the contract where would they fly into Dallas. Mr. Stockton said in the bid they left the option open to DFW or to Love Field. Councilor Estrada asked which airplane the city would be getting. Mr. Stockton said Advanced Air bid a King Air 350. Mr. Shawn Simpson, CEO Boutique Air, said it has been an honor and priviledge serving the community for the past 4 years. He said a petition has been circulated within the community and he said that some of the information is inaccurate. He said that Boutique Air has taken schedule recommendations from the Airport Committee and will continue to do all they can to serve the community. Councilor Chavez asked about the 52% of flights have not been on time. Mr. Simpson said that data is incorrect and added that in February they have been at 74% on time. Councilor Chavez asked why some flights have been delayed up to 6 hours. Mr. Simpson said airlines are complicated and there are many reasons for delays such as air traffic control, weather, and serious mechanical problems. Councilor Chavez asked if there will be a mechanic here full time. Mr. Simpson said he is interested in setting up a maintenace base here. He said if there is hanger space available they would like to open up a maintenance base here. Councilor Estrada asked if Boutique Air is providing rental car service. Mr. Simpson said yes, they have 10 rental cars at this time.|||Mr. George said the Committee took this recommendation very seriously. He said the Committee took input from the Community and took their own personal experiences.
