HOUSE CHECKS

The Carlsbad Police Department provides ‘house checks’ for the general public when they are going to be away from their home for extended periods of time. An officer will be advised that your home has been placed on the house check and during different times of the day and/or night, and officer will check the security of your residence. That responding officer can then (if you so choose) leave you notification that they have completed their house check.

Contact the Dispatch Center at (575) 885-2111, option #0, to have your home placed on the list.

RESIDENTIAL SECURITY SURVEYS

The Carlsbad Police Department through the Wise Eyes Program provides ‘residential security surveys’ to the general public. A survey of the structure and the grounds can be completed in a short period of time and can alert a home owner to potential security risks. An officer will then provide examples of how to address these security risks in an effort to reduce the risks to persons and/or property.

Contact Sergeant Andrew Carver at (575) 885-2111, extension #2231, for further information or visit the Wise Eyes Program.
