Please call (575) 887-2121. Pre-registration any time before New Year’s Eve is encouraged. You can call again when you are ready to go home. Thank you for using this service to make sure that we have a safe New Year’s celebration.

Plaza, will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 23 and Dec. 24. The station will be closed on Christmas Day.

Christmas on the Pecos boat rides will continue all weekend, with the exception of Dec. 24. Additionally the Chamber will be playing Christmas movies from 6-10 p.m. Dec. 23 and Dec. 25 at the Christmas Village at 711 Muscatel. If you are looking for a way to help after Christmas, there is going to be a Holiday Heroes Blood Drive from 1-5 p.m. at Western Commerce Bank. .  Please call 575-625-9743 or call/text 575-404-8451 to schedule an appointment.  Walk-ins are welcome.

Finally, if you are travelling this holiday, please be extra careful and check on weather reports. The Eddy County Office of Emergency Management has published a holiday checklist, reminding travelers to stock their trunk with sand, a shovel, flashlight, flares, a portable jump starter, water, a first aid kit, blankets and other important survival items.

For everyone driving this upcoming week, please have a very safe trip.

Sincerely,
