Litter Clean Up to be Held from Pecos, NM to Pecos, TX

Volunteers will pre-register and drive by or meet up to pick up cleaning supplies such as vests, gloves, and trash bags from the location they pick upon registration. Each volunteer will be assigned an area to clean along the river or the road.
Volunteers must pre-register before the event online at https://pecoswatershed.org/events/river-cleanup/ or by calling 505-757-3600. The project areas include: Pecos, NM, the Pecos Canyon, Villanueva State Park, Santa Rosa State Park, Sumner Lake State Park, Roswell, Carlsbad and Pecos, TX.
The Upper Pecos Watershed Association in partnership with Pecos Business Association (PBA), Pecos Canyon State Park (NM State Parks), Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF), Truchas Chapter Trout Unlimited, New Mexico Economic Development Department, Keep Carlsbad Beautiful, Keep Roswell Beautiful, Roadrunner Gambler 505, San Miguel County, and Pecos TX announces the annual Dia del Rio y Camino (River and Road) Litter Clean-up event to be held on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 in 7 locations along the Pecos River.
This event showcases the meaningful partnerships between all agencies along Pecos River and the dedication to resource stewardship and protection. In addition, the public’s participation in this event to protect the Pecos River is much appreciated.
