The City of Carlsbad has improved its website to make accessing information much easier for members of the public, Carlsbad Mayor Dale Janway has announced. The website is at the same previous location: https://cityofcarlsbadnm.com/
It’s the website’s first major redesign since 2004, and the focus was to make public-service features such as job opportunities, 311 requests and bill payments more customer friendly.
“Our IT Department, especially Brent Griffith, did a great job,” Mayor Janway said. “We know our residents are very busy, so being able to find information about a city service very quickly is extremely helpful.”
Public records, such as agendas and minutes, are more accessible through “file tree” clicks, Griffith explained. Additionally, the new website is also mobile device friendly. Ease of access and understanding for all users is the priority of the new layout.
City officials stressed that the web site is still a work in progress, with many tweaks expected over the next few weeks. Anyone with suggestions about the website may contact Kyle Marksteiner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
